Backstreet Boys Are Back to Their Roots: New Album “In a World Like This (Reimagined)” Features Acoustic Renditions of Their Biggest Hits
The Backstreet Boys are taking it back to the basics with their latest project, “In a World Like This (Reimagined)”. The new album, set to drop on February 14, 2025, features acoustic renditions of some of the band’s biggest hits, including “I Want It That Way”, “As Long as You Love Me”, and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”.
The album is a stripped-back, intimate affair, with the boys trading in their signature harmonies and dance routines for a more subdued, acoustic approach. “We wanted to go back to where it all started for us,” says AJ McLean. “Playing acoustic shows and singing together, just the five of us, reminded us why we started doing this in the first place.”
The album also features a few surprises, including a previously unreleased track, “Lost in the Moment”, which was written during the band’s early days on the As Nasty As They Wanna Be tour.
“In a World Like This (Reimagined)” is the perfect treat for longtime fans, who will get to experience their favorite Backstreet Boys songs in a brand new way. “This album is for the fans,” says Nick Carter. “They’ve been with us every step of the way, and we wanted to give them something special.”
The album is produced by longtime collaborator, and friend, Jeff Lynne, and is set to drop on Valentine’s Day, just in time for fans to show their love for the Backstreet Boys.
“In a World Like This (Reimagined)” promises to be a unique and special addition to the Backstreet Boys’ discography, and a reminder that, no matter how much time passes, some things will always be timeless.
