David De Gea tells Real Madrid to end interest in Man United's 18-years-old Youngstar as Manchester United ‘won’t let him leave’

Manchester United star David De Gea says there’s no chance of Alejandro Garnacho leaving the club, despite interest from Real Madrid.

The Argentine has burst onto the scene this season and has scored two goals in five starts.

The 18-year-old joined United from Atletico Madrid for a fee of around £300,000 when he was just 16 years old and he hails from the Spanish capital.

Alejandro Garnacho is attracting interest from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Garnacho’s development, particularly as he only has 18 months to run on his deal at Old Trafford.

United are desperate to tie him down to a new long-term deal, with Garnacho currently earning around £5,000-a-week.

Erik ten Hag’s side were beaten 1-0 by Real Betis in a friendly on Saturday night, which was the side’s second game in three days in Spain.

Garnacho has featured in both matches and the Spanish press attempted to ask the winger about a move to the Bernabeu after the defeat against Betis.

De Gea says Garnacho will stay at United.

However, as the most senior member of the travelling squad, De Gea intervened to say that Garnacho would not be leaving.

‘We won’t let him leave,’ De Gea told Spanish reporters.

Madrid may have something to say about that and United remain intent on tying the winger down to a new contract.

Garnacho has been offered a deal of around £50,000-a-week to stay at Old Trafford and the Argentine is keen to put pen to paper.
