GOOD NEWS: Chelsea given green light to sign €20m-rated France international as Kante's Replacement

Chelsea are pretty determined to negotiate a move for Adrien Rabiot and could plot a transfer in the winter transfer window. The 27-year-old midfielder’s current deal is up for expiry next summer, and he could leave the club for free.

The London giants have huffed and puffed to grind out positive results in their favour despite having a bright start under Potter’s tutelage. A sequence of five winless games has put pressure on the former Brighton coach, and significant changes will be made at the start of next year.

Both Jorginho and Kante could become free agents in the summer as there has not been any discussion regarding the extension of their current deals. Kante has reportedly expressed his intention to stay beyond this campaign. But the Blues need to table a suitable offer which suits his current situation.

Jorginho has not committed anything as the Catalan giants have been waiting for him in the wings. And the Italian international wants to use this occasion to grind out the best potential deal for him. In such a scenario, Rabiot has now emerged as the priority target for the Blues.

Adrien has fairly done well this campaign, but the Old Lady seem to be uninterested in offering him fresh terms. The French midfielder does not have any problem accepting a new challenge and a good showing in the World Cup would raise his demand even more. It will be interesting to see if the Frenchman secures a move to Chelsea.
