“I Need To Go To Arsenal In January”, Arteta Happy As £80 Million Rated Juventus striker Offers Himself To Arsenal

Although Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, Arsenal has also been connected to him

According to Give Me Sport’s Ben Jacobs, Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic, age 22, is now interested in signing for Arsenal during the January transfer window. Premier League rivals Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the £80 million-rated striker from Juventus.

Vlahovic has been linked with a move away from Juventus in recent months due to his failure to live up to the expectations that came with his massive transfer fee. In spite of his high price tag of £80 million, he is a top target for Arsenal and Chelsea.

There is no doubt that Arsenal’s final third could benefit from additional talent and depth. To what extent they can persuade the Italian heavyweights to part with the 22-year-old in the forthcoming window remains to be seen. Vlahovic has been a valuable addition to Juventus’s offence this season. He has scored seven goals and added two assists in 15 games.

For the time being, Arsenal could use an offensive reinforcement, since star striker Gabriel Jesus remains injured. In the Brazilian international’s absence, the 22-year-old might take over as the team’s primary striker. Currently, unbeaten, Arsenal is a championship contender.

Will Dusan Vlahovic move to the Emirates Stadium?

To keep up the championship chase against clubs like Manchester City, Mikel Arteta needs to make roster upgrades in January. According to rumours, Vlahovic is dissatisfied with his current situation at Juventus and hopes to leave the club soon. In addition, Give Me Sport reports that Ben Jacobs is interested in signing with Arsenal.

It’s likely that the player will be interested in making the jump to the Premier League. However, he is under contract for the foreseeable future. So Arsenal will have to spend a hefty sum—£80 million to be exact—to get his talents.

What did he say?

Ben Jacobs told GMS, “We know that Arsenal was interested in Vlahovic because they tried to sign him quite aggressively in January. All that did was make Juventus want to sign Vlahovic earlier.

Sources say that because Juventus’s future is uncertain, they may be under investigation for alleged financial wrongdoing. Who knows, sports sanctions aren’t out of the question. But what’s more important is that the Italian system allows for many different kinds of appeals.

So, I think it’s more important that Vlahovic isn’t very happy playing for Max Allegri than it is that he has to pay for his actions on the field. Because of this, I think he is open to a move. I think Juventus are also ready to listen to offers and see what happens.”

The player has also been strongly connected to a transfer to Chelsea. The Blues’ summer addition Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not been able to help them immediately in the final third. Vlahovic would be a fantastic acquisition for Graham Potter. He needs a reliable scoring threat to spearhead the team’s push for a playoff spot.

Furthermore, Armando Broja has lately been lost for the season with an injury for Chelsea. And it should be one of their primary priorities in January to get a good attacker. The competition to recruit the Serb for £80 million is sure to be exciting to watch.
