MIKAEL SILVESTRE: Bukayo Saka is ‘too nice’ and needs to be more aggressive

Bukayo Saka can be one of the best players in world football if he becomes ‘more aggressive’ because at the moment he is ‘too nice’.

That’s according to former Arsenal and Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre, who feels Saka has the ability to become one of the best in the world.

The Arsenal winger was one of England’s most impressive performers at the World Cup and he was Man of the Match in the last-eight defeat to France on Saturday.

The 21-year-old scored three times in four matches in Qatar and he was targeted by the French throughout the defeat in Doha.

Saka’s displayed extreme mental strength to bounce back from his missed penalty in the European Championships final defeat to Italy.

The winger was racially abused online for his miss, with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford also targeted.

Saka is a popular member of the squad, both with his club and country, with many remarking what a pleasant individual the winger is.

However, though Silvestre believes Saka has all the ability in the world, he must become more ‘aggressive’ to take his game to the next level.

‘Maybe Bukayo Saka is a bit too nice. He needs to be a bit more aggressive,’ Silvestre told BettingExpert.

‘He is extremely nice so he needs more aggressiveness in his game. He has improved in that sense and it can be very tricky sometimes.”

‘Other than that I really don’t think he needs to improve on that many aspects.”

‘He has done really well for Arsenal and he is still a very young player. If he can get a bit more streetwise, I think he is there.”

‘For England (their best player was) Saka for being so dangerous, taking on players, causing issues. He got the penalty.

‘He was for me, the number one player, in terms of performance, for England.’
