Transfer: AS – Decision made as Man United push to sign £105million star

The renowned British news source have mentioned that the Red Devils are aware of the financial difficulties faced by PSV Eindhoven and have already moved to secure the player’s signature.

It is stated that agreeing personal terms will not be an issue for Man Utd as the playmaker was happy with the offer put on the table by the Premier League club last summer.

After Gakpo’s brilliant performance at the World Cup, other top clubs are interested in signing him as well but Mirror Sport claim the 20-time English champions have stolen a march by making contact with the Dutch giants, who are aiming to drive through a deal to improve their economic conditions.

As far as the price tag is concerned, it is reported that a fee less than £50million would be enough to seal the signing.

Last week, Italian source, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, revealed Gakpo can be lured for a fee of just 45 million euros i.e. £39.6million.

The Netherlands Player of the Year directly contributed in over 30 goals last season for PSV and he has already reached the 30 mark (goals/assists) this season.

He found the net against Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup and helped his nation reach the last eight.
