‘They Do Not Like Winning Trophies’- Nigerian Wonderkid Gift Orban Dismisses Arsenal

Gent star player, Gift Orban, expressed his strong desire to move to the Premier League but made it clear that he would not consider joining Arsenal due to their lack of success in winning trophies.

Why Did Orban Have To Say On Arsenal’s Campaign This Season?

The 20-year-old striker has been attracting attention from several top teams following his outstanding performances at Gent since his transfer from Stabaek in January. While Orban has a preference for the Premier League, he specifically mentioned his interest in Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool while dismissing any possibility of joining Arsenal. Orban criticized the Gunners’ perceived lack of ambition, citing their history of not winning trophies during Arsene Wenger’s tenure and their tendency to sign players only to sell them for profit. He expressed his desire to play for a club that competes for trophies.

“I dream about the Premier League and about Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool; I don’t really care much for Arsenal, though. They do not like winning trophies. It was like that for 10 years when Arsene Wenger was in charge. They only signed players to then sell them at a profit. I want to play for a club that competes for trophies.”

Given Orban’s impressive record of scoring 20 goals in 20 matches for Gent and his previous success of 19 goals in 24 games for Stabaek, he is likely to have multiple top teams vying for his signature when he eventually decides to leave Gent.
